Barry Crane's martial arts journey began at a young age with Karate — a disciplined foundation in traditional striking and movement that shaped everything that followed. From there he moved into kickboxing and Muay Thai, going on to compete on multiple occasions in the striking arts and proving his skills not in a training hall but against resisting opponents under pressure.

Continuing to evolve his game, Barry moved into Jeet Kune Do, Kali, and the grappling arts through MKG, where he trained under the lineage of Guro Rick Faye and the wider Inosanto family. He progressed to MKG Associate Instructor level — a credential that reflects both technical depth and the ability to convey that knowledge effectively to others.

On the ground, Barry holds a BJJ Purple Belt under Mark Tucker — a lineage with over 30 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu behind it. Purple belt is not a participation grade; it represents years of consistent, high-level training and the ability to apply grappling effectively against trained opponents.

In Pekiti Tirsia Kali, Barry holds the rank of Lakan Guro under the Pekiti Tirsia Kali Association (PTKA) — a formal recognition of instructorship within one of the most authentic and combat-proven Filipino weapon systems in the world.

As a C360 Protector Full Instructor and certified Rapid Assault Tactics Instructor under Mark Tucker, Barry brings competitive experience, multiple lineages, and a direct connection to the C360 curriculum to every session he delivers at HQ Liskeard.
