Mark Tucker earned his green beret through one of the most demanding selection and training pipelines in the world. Royal Marines Commando training is not a credential collected for a CV — it is a forging process. What came out the other side was not simply a fit soldier, but an individual shaped by operational mindset, conditioned to function under extreme physical and psychological stress, and carrying a first-hand understanding of violence that no seminar or certification can replicate. Everything that has followed in the decades since has been built on that foundation.
After leaving the Corps, Mark's career moved into the most demanding corners of the private security world. He deployed to Iraq — Basra, Baghdad, Mosul — working convoy protection and close protection operations in active conflict zones, protecting diplomats and military personnel in environments where threat assessment was a daily survival discipline. That work extended into maritime security and civilian close protection roles back in the UK, alongside years working the door in the civilian threat environment. The sharp end of civilian violence is different in character from the battlefield, but no less real. Mark has worked both.
Mark's credentials as an instructor extend well beyond civilian training. He has taught Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to Royal Marines Commandos, delivered unarmed combat training to United States Marine Corps FAST (Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team) units in the immediate aftermath of the September 11 attacks, trained New Zealand Special Forces, and worked with multiple UK armed forces units and police departments. These are not marketing claims — they are the record of an instructor whose system has been tested against the standards of elite military and law enforcement professionals, and found credible.
The medical thread running through Mark's career is not a side note — it is a central pillar. FA1 Combat Medic training. Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS). FREC4 — First Response Emergency Care Level 4. Immediate Life Support (ILS). FROS 3 — First Responder on Scene. As an active Community First Responder with South Western Ambulance Service Trust (SWAST), Mark responds to life-threatening emergencies in his community — cardiac arrests, major trauma, respiratory emergencies. SWAST recognised this service with the Chief Executive's Commendation Award, the highest award the service grants. Trauma at C360 is not a module drawn from a textbook. It is a lived discipline, practised under real pressure.
The martial arts lineage underpinning C360's combatives curriculum is one of the most credible in the world. Mark has trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over thirty years — the grappling discipline that has proven itself across every meaningful measure. He holds PTTA authorisation as a Kali instructor under Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje Jr., the grandmaster of Pekiti Tirsia Kali — the edged weapon and close-quarters weapons system adopted by the Philippine Special Forces and integrated into military and law enforcement training globally. He is certified by Paul Vunak in both Progressive Fighting Systems and Rapid Assault Tactics — the close-quarters combat curriculum Vunak developed for the United States Navy SEALs, a system built from Jeet Kune Do concepts and field-tested to the highest standard. Mark is also part of the MKG International family, the organisation founded by Rick Faye as a senior student of Guro Dan Inosanto — the direct heir to Bruce Lee's martial legacy and one of the most knowledgeable combat instructors alive.
